At the lake on July 4th
Hello!
Jeremy Henderson here. I hope your day is going well.
I recently returned from a trip to the lake with my wife and son. We visited the mother-in-law and her quaint little lake house. While we there my wife was considering sailing her hobie cat sail boat. I was encouraging her to do it, but she continued to offer excuses for why she didn’t want to.
She finally decided to forget the excuses and get on the water. She was incredible! Picture a sailboat with a bright and multi-colored sail guiding the tilted boat through the water with my wife holding fast to the main sheet (this is a rope for you non-sailors like me). She was literally almost completely standing with her feet in the water and her head high in the air. The little boat was flying and she brought it into the cove and had this awesome look of accomplishment in her eyes.
She said she was so glad she didn’t give into the excuses she had originally come up with. She said it felt great to harness the power of the wind and experience the success of sailing that little boat through the water.
